Itinerary

Day 01: Cusco – Lares.

MachupicchuEarly in the morning leave Cusco and take a transfer for around 3 hours near to the mountain pass of Lares (13,986 fts) start the ride all down hill (single track optional) take lunch in the way , after the lunch We have around 2 hours more riding , We reach some relaxing hot springs where we will camp for the night. The natural thermal waters are a perfect end to the day. ( L, D)

Day 02: Lares – Santiago

Today we have a dramatic 78 km ride (mostly downhill) to the town of Santiago where we'll camp for the night. We're now out of the Andes and in the upper Amazon Basin. (B, L,D)

Day 03: Santiago – Quellouno.

Bus up hill, We will take a lunch in the way and arrive to Quellouno , where We take a rest and take a short bath in a river . ( B, L ,D)

Day 04: Quellouno – Quillabamba

MachupicchuWe now have 98 km to the Jungle town of Quillabamba. If you leave right after breakfast and you are a strong rider, you can make it the whole way on this bumpy jungle track. Many people will prefer to bike ½ or most of it and take a van the rest of the way. We'll stay at the Hotel Quillabamba tonight and relax in front of the pool. (B ,L , D)

Day 05: Quillabamba - Ollantaytambo - Cusco

Today we'll drive 105 km to the top of a 15,000+ pass and ride 45 km down to Ollantaytambo in the Sacred Valley and back to Cusco. (B, L)

  • Orientation meeting in Cusco (previous to departure date)
