Itinerary

MachupicchuThe Inca Trail to Machu Picchu is rated among the best trekking trips in the world because of the exquisite beauty of its natural surroundings. These include different ecological areas from high deserts to Andean tropical rain-forest. Following this ancient Inca Trail we will be walking past mysterious archeological sites, half covered by the jungle overgrowth that looks like you are discovering them for the first time, and finally arriving to the lost city of the Incas: Machu Picchu. Our journey is conducted by experienced guides that will make your trip most pleasant and safe. Also our luggage will be carried by native "quechua" carriers. The meals are delicious and prepared by experts in international cuisine.

Day 01: Cusco - Kilometer. 88. – Qente.

MachupicchuTransfer from the hotel to train station, we take the train to the kilometer 88. In which we will meet our porters and equipment. We cross the bridge at the Urubamba river and hike 30 minutes to the first camp in Qente. After the lunch, we visit Machu Qente (time 1 ½ hours) and Patallacta ruins, then we go back to Qente camp (L,D).

Day 02: Qente – Chachabamba.

After a healthy breakfast we begin to walk for the left margin of the Urubamba river to the Chachabamba. In the way we see orchids and animals of the area. We cross the Pacaymayo River and have the lunch.

After a good rest we start the trek to Chachabamba 104 km., in which we will make our second camp. (B, L, D). (Time 7 hours)

Day 03: Chachabamba - Machu Picchu – Cusco.

MachupicchuVery early in the morning we will begin to up towards Wiñaywayna ruins, the most important after Machu Picchu (2 ½ hours), the We down form Wiñaywayna to Inti Punku the last pass (1 ½ hours). From this site Machu Picchu looks unreal beautiful. We can visit the whole ruin the rest the day. The train goes back to Cusco from the Aguas Calientes station. Arriving and transfer to the hotel. (B, L).

Important notes for the Inkca Trail service:

For the Inca Trail Service only is allowed to enter 500 people per day and if you want to confirm your space depending of the availability send us your name, passport number, nationality and age.

The Entrance fee to the Inca Trail could be change for 2008, we will inform about this and if is necessary we have to change the price.

f you change your passport after the buy of your Inca Trail entrance fee, you have to bring a copy of the old passport and the new original passport.
