Itinerary

Day 01: Transfer in Lima.

DiscapacitadosReception and Transfer in Lima to your hotel.  Morning free to relax and acclimatize. After lunch in your hotel, we will meet with your guide and trained assistance. Orientation meeting at the hotel.

Day 02:  Lima City Tour.

We’ll visit Lima’s historic, including Paseo de la República, Plaza San Martín, the Main Plaza and the surrounding monuments: the Presidential Palace, the Cathedral, the Archbishop’s Palace and the Moorish-style houses and balconies along Lima’s old streets and the San Francisco Convent. The visit ends in the Gold Museum, situated in another part of the City. Return to hotel.

 

Day 03:  Transfer in Cusco - City Tour

Transfer to the airport in Lima and take the one hour flight to Alejandro Velazco Astete Airport in Cusco. Then transfer to the hotel.  After lunch and rest we will meet your guide and assistance for a guided city tour. This tour includes a visit to the Cathedral which is over 450 years old, the Temple of the Sun Koricancha and the magnificent ruins of Sacsaywaman, and Tambomachay. (Breakfast, Dinner).

 

 

 

Day 04:  Sacred Valley.

Following a delicious breakfast at your hotel you will be meeting by your guide and assistance who will take you on a tour of The Sacred Valley of the Incas. This tour includes the fantastic Inca complex of Pisac a look round the local market a buffet lunch and tour of the village and fortress of Ollantaytambo. (Breakfast, Lunch).

 

 

Day 05: Machu Picchu

For most of you this is the main reason that you are here. To full fill that childhood dream of visiting the citadel of Machu Picchu. We will take the Vistadome Sacred Valley Train which allows spectacular views on the route to Machu Picchu. A supported tour by trained assistance in Machu Picchu by special design circuit where we will receive explanations on the history of Machu Picchu. Return train to Ollantaytambo and free evening. Overnight in Sacred Valley. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner).

Day 06:  Visit Seminario Workshop -  Maras Saltpands

Breakfast and we’ll depart to Seminario Workshop where we’ll discover of techniquies and designs from ancient Peruvian cultures. Pablo Seminario presents a new art expression, providing continuity to these cultural inheritances. Then we will visit the salt mines that are just below Maras. These mines are still fully operational and you can see the campesinos at work on them. Return to Cusco in the evening. (Breakfast, Picnic lunch).

Day 07:  Optional Activity

A free day for further explorations of Cusco and the surrounding area, for relaxing, shopping and sightseeing in this beautiful town. (Breakfast).

Day 08:  Cusco – Puno.

Breakfast and we’ll depart to Puno by Private bus, This is one of the most scenic route in South America, the route passing through Andean towns to finally reach the "Altiplano" (highland savannah) known as Puna. Arrival to Puno and transfer to your hotel.
(Breakfast, Lunch).

 

 

 

Day 09: Puno - Uros - Amantani Islands – Puno.

We pick you up from your hotel in Puno in the morning, to take a two-hour motor excursion on the waters of Lake Titicaca to the unique Floating "Islands" of the Uros. These ancient inhabitants of the lake, known as the Water Tribe, have built their own "islands" by periodically adding new layers of a type of reed unique to the area called "Totora". Their homes and boats are also made from this material.

After having experienced some of the ancient traditions of the local people, you continue your motor boat trip to around of Amantani Island and Overlook.  This Island is inhabited by Quechua-speaking natives still governed by their ancient traditions, whose main occupations are the production of ceramics and textiles. The positive energy of this Island is so powerful that it is known as the "Love Island".   Go back to Puno. Overnight in Puno (Breakfast, Lunch).

Day 10:  Puno - Chucuito – Sillustani.

we pick you up from your hotel, after 30 minutes by car, we will arrive at Chucuito is know as the Real Boxes City, because this city formed part of the Virreynato, here we will appreciate the Uyo Inca’s archaeological center or fertility temple, the rustic style of Santo Domingo Church, the mixed racially style of Nuestra Señora de la Asuncion Church and the solar clock, made of Huamanga stone in 1832, located on the Main Square. On the route we have a lunch, then we’ll visit at the Sillustani Chullpas (pre-Colombian funeral towers). The scenery is desert but impressive, in a beautiful setting on a peninsula on Ayumara lake about 32 Km. from Puno. Most of the towers date from the period of Inca occupation in the 15th century; the engineering involved in their construction is more complex than anything the Incas built. (Breakfast, lunch)Return to Puno.

Day 11:  Puno – Lima.

Transfer to the airport of Juliaca for the flight back to Lima.
