After an early breakfast, we will board the local train that will take us to hydroelectric. Upon arrival to a private transfer will be waiting for us in order to transfer us in private vehicle for about 30 min to the start point of a trek to Lucmabamba, from where just a few people in the world enjoy a priviledge view of Machu Picchu. The trek starts with a steady ascend up to the Mirador of Llactapata located at 6,600 ft above see level, from where we will have a spectacular view of the Lost city of the Incas, Machu Picchu. Here we will rest,while we enjoy our boxed lunch. We then continue our trek descending to Aobamba and onto the Hidroelectric train station, from where we will have the chance to hike for 2 more hours to Aguas Calientes or just board the local trail that will take us back to Aguas Calientes. In Aguas Calientes, we will get into our hotel or just connect the return train to Cusco. Lunch box.
