Itinerary Description:

DAY 1: ARRIVAL TO CHICLAYO & TRANSPORTATION TO THE HOTEL

If you arrive before 15h you can visit first several villages on a “beach circuit”: Monsefu known for the production of Wood and reed handicrafts. Afterwards we pass by Santa Rosa to see the fishermen and their reeds boats “caballitos de totora” and “artisanal boats”. Pimentel is a small beach town which was used for the sugar cane exportation and is where we hope to observe a beautiful senset before returning to the hotel.

Afterwards you will visit some attractions in Chiclayo and the herbal market, where traditional doctors buy their herbs to cure local people only on the base of plants. Transfer to your hotel.

DAY 2: THE LORD OF SIPAN KINGDOM

Visit to the archeological site of Huaca Rajada (the tomb of the Lord of Sipán) where in 1987 were found the remains of a leader of the Mochica hierarchy. Afterwards we visit the splendid museum Tumbas Reales with the remains of the tomb of the Lord of Sipán, the most important archeological discovery in Latin America of the last 30 years. After lunch at a locacl restaurant in Lambayeqye we will visit to the Brüning museum which gives a splendid overview on pre-Inca cultures in this part of the Peruvian Coast. Transfer to your hotel.

DAY 3: SICAN MUSEUM & TUCUME

Visit the National museum of Sican where are shown the main objects found in the tombs of Bosque de Pomac, Lambayeque culture (800-1470 AC). Visit to the archeological site of Túcume where we can observe 26 truncated pyramids of up to 35 meters high from the Lambayeque culture. Lunch in Lambayeque and transfer to the bus station or airport
