We are a tourism operator and expedition outfitter based in Cusco, with more than 30 years of experience designing and running trips throughout Peru. At Apumayo, we combine the best of both worlds: the logistical strength of a professional operator and the field expertise of a team that has explored and developed routes across Peru’s rivers, mountains, and jungles.
Our background in rafting and whitewater expeditions has taken us to navigate and operate on some of the most important rivers in South America, including the Apurimac, Marañón, Urubamba, and Yavero. Building on this foundation, we offer authentic adventure journeys that integrate nature, culture, and exploration.
We are also authorized operators of the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu—one of the world’s most iconic trekking routes—as well as experiences in key destinations such as Cusco, the Sacred Valley, the Amazon, Arequipa, Huaraz, and Puno.
We design both tailor‑made trips and fixed departures, adapting to different types of travelers: from those seeking a technical expedition to those who want to discover Peru through a carefully crafted itinerary.
